Why I'm Simplifying: A New Home for Naturally, MelissaMade

Why I'm Simplifying: A New Home for Naturally, MelissaMade

If you've been following along for a while, you may have noticed I've been a little quieter than usual.

Don't worry—I haven't gone anywhere.

In fact, I've been busy building something I've dreamed about for a long time.

Over the past few years, Naturally, MelissaMade has grown in ways I never imagined. What started with crochet and handmade creations expanded into classes, communities, events, tutorials, social media groups, and multiple platforms.

While growth is exciting, it also taught me something important:

Sometimes more isn't better.

Sometimes simpler is better.

The Problem With Being Everywhere

Like many small business owners, I found myself trying to keep up with multiple platforms, communities, websites, and content schedules.

The result?

Instead of spending more time creating, teaching, and connecting with all of you, I was spending more time managing technology.

I realized I wanted something different.

I wanted one cozy place where everything could live together.

A place where you could easily find classes, blog posts, community discussions, handmade products, resources, and encouragement without jumping between multiple platforms.

Returning to What Matters Most

At its heart, Naturally, MelissaMade has never been about algorithms, platforms, or chasing trends.

It's always been about people.

It's about helping others discover the joy of creating something with their own two hands.

It's about finding confidence one stitch at a time.

It's about connection, creativity, and community.

Those values aren't changing.

If anything, this transition helps me focus on them even more.

My New Focus

Moving forward, my primary focus will be:

🦚 My Website

This will be the heart of everything.

You'll find:

• Crochet courses

• Blog articles

• Community discussions

• Handmade products

• Local classes

• Resources and downloads

• Character stories and Comfort Companions

Instead of being scattered across multiple locations, everything will have one home.

Facebook Isn't Going Anywhere

My Facebook Business Page will continue to be where we connect daily.

You'll still find:

• Daily posts

• Crochet tips

• Live videos

• Community updates

• New blog announcements

• Product launches

• Behind-the-scenes peeks

• Local Classes/Events

Think of Facebook as our front porch.

The Hook Nook Crochet Community is the cozy house where we gather together.

The Website is the place that maps it all out for you.

Why This Change Excites Me

This change gives me more time to do what I love most:

Teaching.

Creating.

Writing.

Designing.

Building meaningful connections.

And honestly?

Crocheting.

Lots and lots of crocheting.

It also allows me to create a better experience for you by putting everything in one easy-to-find place.

No confusion.

No searching.

No wondering where to find the latest class, blog post, or project.

The Future of The Hook Nook

This is more than a website update.

It's the beginning of a new chapter.

You'll see:

• New blog content

• Beginner-friendly resources

• Crochet courses

• Comfort Companion character launches

• Community challenges

• Live workshops

• Handmade products created with purpose

And most importantly, you'll find a welcoming community that believes progress matters more than perfection.

Thank You!

Whether you've been here from the beginning or just recently discovered Naturally, MelissaMade, thank you.

Thank you for supporting my small business.

Thank you for cheering me on.

Thank you for being part of this journey.

I'm excited for what's ahead, and I can't wait to welcome you into our community.

One stitch at a time.

Happy Hooking,
