HEY, THANKS FOR STOPPING BY…
My life is beautifully full. I'm a homeschooling mom to three amazing children, a proud mother to an adult daughter, and blessed with a large extended family that keeps life interesting, unpredictable, and full of love. Our homestead is home to dogs, cats, ducks, chickens, pigs, and more daily adventures than I could ever plan for.
As the daughter of a military family, I spent much of my childhood learning how to adapt, connect, and find my place in constantly changing environments. Those experiences shaped who I am today—a natural encourager, teacher, problem solver, and community builder.
For much of my life, I poured myself into caring for others. Like many women, I became so focused on showing up for everyone else that I forgot how to show up for myself. Along the way, I navigated personal challenges, chronic health struggles, caregiving responsibilities, and the emotional weight that comes from loving people through difficult seasons.
Then crochet found its way into my life in a much deeper way.
What began as a creative outlet became a source of peace, healing, and self-discovery. Crochet gave me a place to slow down, quiet the noise, and focus on something beautiful one stitch at a time. It became my therapy, my meditation, and my sanctuary.
That experience inspired Naturally, MelissaMade.

Today, I combine my love of crochet, teaching, creativity, and community to help others discover the same confidence, calm, and connection that crochet has given me. Through handmade creations, crochet classes, workshops, and supportive communities, my goal is simple: to help people create something beautiful while finding a little more peace along the way.
When I'm not crocheting, teaching, writing, homeschooling, or dreaming up new projects, you'll likely find me caring for animals, planning the next community event, or working toward my biggest dream yet—the Purple Peacock Bus, a traveling crochet studio designed to bring creativity and connection directly to communities.
At the heart of everything I do is one belief:
Creativity has the power to heal, handmade matters, and none of us are meant to walk this journey alone.
Thank you for being here. Whether you're learning your first stitch, shopping for a handmade treasure, or searching for a community that understands, I'm honored to share this journey with you.
Welcome to Naturally, MelissaMade.
