Little Amigurumi Heart

What You'll Need

• Small scraps of yarn in any color

• Crochet hook appropriate for your yarn (4 mm or 5 mm works well for most worsted-weight yarn)

• Small amount of stuffing (or finely chopped yarn scraps)

• Yarn needle

• Scissors

The Pattern

This heart is made by crocheting two small circles, joining them together, and shaping the bottom into a point.

Make the Humps (Make 2)

Round 1: Create a magic ring. Work 6 single crochets into the ring.
(6 stitches)

Round 2: Work 2 single crochets in each stitch around.
(12 stitches)

Round 3: Single crochet in each stitch around.
(12 stitches)

Fasten off the first hump.

Leave the second hump attached to your yarn.

Joining the Heart

Round 4: With the second hump still on your hook, join it to any stitch on the first hump.

Single crochet around all 12 stitches of the first hump.

Continue directly into the second hump and single crochet around its 12 stitches. (24 stitches)

Round 5: Single crochet in each stitch around.
(24 stitches)

Round 6: Single crochet in the next 2 stitches, then single crochet 2 together.

Repeat around. (18 stitches)

Begin stuffing the heart.

Round 7: Single crochet in the next stitch, then single crochet 2 together. Repeat around. (12 stitches)

Add additional stuffing if needed.

Round 8: Single crochet 2 together around. (6 stitches)

Finishing Up

Fasten off, leaving a long tail.

Thread the tail through the remaining stitches and pull tightly to close the opening. Secure the end and weave it inside the heart.

If a small gap appears where the two humps join, use the tail from the first hump to stitch it closed.
