Made for Someone Who Really Loves Fall
Sometimes a custom order has a deep sentimental story behind it.
And sometimes the reason is much simpler:
“I absolutely LOVE fall!” 🍂
Honestly, that's reason enough.
This order brought together two cozy fall favorites: a set of decorative crochet pumpkins and a pair of fall legwarmers.
She had seen them on Facebook, loved them, and knew she wanted some of her own.
There’s Usually a Why Behind the What
When I asked what made her want these pieces, her answer made me smile:
“The pumpkins and legwarmers I wanted because I saw them on Facebook and I absolutely LOVE fall!!! I also love legwarmers!!!”
Sometimes you don't need a bigger story than that.
You see something that feels completely you, and you want to bring a little bit of that joy into your own life.
For her, that meant pumpkins for a touch of handmade fall decor and cozy legwarmers she could actually wear and enjoy throughout the season.
From Her Idea to My Hook
One of my favorite things about custom orders is being able to take something someone has spotted and make it specifically for them.
The decorative pumpkins brought all those warm, cozy autumn feelings into her home without being something that would disappear after one season.
They can come back out year after year as part of her fall decorating traditions.
And then there were the legwarmers.
Because if you already love fall and you already love legwarmers, naturally you need a pair that feels like fall too. 🍁
Creating both pieces gave me the chance to make two completely different things that still belonged together.
One for decorating.
One for wearing.
Both celebrating a season she absolutely loves.
The Smallest Details Often Become the Biggest Ones
That's one of the things I love about handmade pieces.
They don't always have to be necessities.
Sometimes they simply make us happy.
A little pumpkin sitting on a shelf can make your home feel more like fall.
A cozy pair of legwarmers can make a cool morning feel a little more comfortable.
They're small details, but when they're connected to something you genuinely love, they become part of what makes a season feel special.
And I think we're allowed to surround ourselves with a few things simply because they make us smile.
Every Custom Order Has a Story
This order didn't begin with a complicated idea.
She saw pumpkins and legwarmers online.
She loves fall.
She loves legwarmers.
And she decided she wanted them. 🎃🍂
That's one of my favorite things about creating custom orders. Your reason doesn't have to be complicated or sentimental.
Sometimes “I love that!” is the whole story.
And that's a pretty wonderful reason for me to pick up my hook.
