Welcome

Welcome to Our Crochet Along Adventures

One project. One community. One stitch at a time.

There is something truly special about knowing that somewhere, someone else is picking up their crochet hook and working on the very same project you are.

That's the heart behind the Crochet Alongs here at Naturally, MelissaMade.

Whether you're brand new to crochet, returning after years away, or have been crocheting for decades, these Crochet Alongs are designed to bring us together through creativity, encouragement, and the simple joy of making something beautiful.

What Is a Crochet Along?

A Crochet Along (often called a CAL) is a community project where we all crochet the same design over several weeks.

Rather than feeling overwhelmed by a large project, we'll break it into manageable sections so you can enjoy the process one step at a time.

There are no deadlines.

No pressure.

No falling behind.

Life gets busy, and crochet should be something that brings peace—not stress. Whether you finish each week's section right away or need a little extra time, you'll always be welcome to continue at your own pace.

How Our Crochet Along Blogs Work

I've designed our Crochet Alongs a little differently than many you'll find online.

Instead of creating a brand-new blog post every week, each Crochet Along will have one dedicated blog post that grows throughout the project.

Think of it as your project notebook.

When the Crochet Along begins, the blog will include everything you need to get started:

  • The project introduction

  • Materials and yarn requirements

  • Helpful tutorials

  • The project schedule

  • Week One instructions

Then, each week, I'll return to that same blog and add the next section.

You'll always know exactly where to find the latest update because everything stays together in one place.

No searching through old posts.

No wondering if you missed an update.

Just bookmark the page once and come back each week.

What You'll Find Each Week

As the Crochet Along progresses, I'll continue updating the blog with:

  • New pattern instructions

  • Step-by-step photos

  • Helpful tips and tricks

  • Video tutorials or live replay links

  • Common questions and answers

  • Progress updates

  • Community highlights and finished projects

By the end of the Crochet Along, the blog becomes a complete project resource that you can revisit anytime.

Why I Chose This Format

I wanted these Crochet Alongs to feel welcoming and easy to follow.

Keeping everything together on one page means you won't have to jump between multiple blog posts or search through social media trying to find where we left off.

It also means that someone discovering the project months—or even years—later can still enjoy the entire Crochet Along from beginning to end.

Every Crochet Along becomes part of our growing Pattern Library, ready whenever inspiration strikes.

Crochet at Your Own Pace

One of the most important things I want you to remember is this:

You are never behind.

Some crocheters will finish in a weekend.

Others may take several months.

Some will frog rows and start over.

Some will change colors or make creative modifications.

Every project tells the story of the person who made it, and that's exactly how handmade should be.

Celebrate your progress, not your speed.

Crochet Is Better Together

Crochet IS Better Together

While this blog is your home base for the Crochet Along, I hope you'll also join us inside the Hook Nook Community.

It's where we celebrate milestones, answer questions, share photos, encourage one another, and cheer each other on through every stitch.

Whether you're posting your very first chain or your finished masterpiece, we'd love to see what you're creating.

Never Miss an Update

Each time a new section is added to a Crochet Along, I'll share an announcement through:

  • The Naturally, MelissaMade newsletter

  • The Hook Nook Community

  • Facebook

  • Our weekly live videos when applicable

That way you'll always know when the next chapter of the project is ready.

Grab Your Hook and Join Us

Crochet isn't just about making blankets, bags, plushies, or home décor.

It's about slowing down.

Learning something new.

Finding confidence one stitch at a time.

Creating memories with every row.

I'm so grateful you've chosen to be part of this journey.

So grab your favorite yarn, settle into your favorite chair, and let's create something beautiful together.

Happy crocheting,

Melissa

Because every stitch has a story, and every maker belongs here.
