Pick One & Make It: September Fall-Themed Crochet Along

Fall is almost here, and that means it’s time to bring out the cozy yarn, warm colors, pumpkins, ghosts, and all the fun little makes that come with the season!

For September, we’re doing our Crochet Along a little differently.

Instead of everyone working on the exact same project, this month is a Pick One & Make It Crochet Along! 🧶

Each week, I’ll share a collection of fall and Halloween-inspired projects based around a different theme. And I’m making it even easier to join in, I’ll be providing links to free crochet patterns available online for each of the projects on our list!

Your job? Browse the patterns, pick ONE that inspires you, and make it!

Maybe you want something quick that you can finish in an afternoon. Maybe you’ve been looking for an excuse to try a new technique. Maybe there’s a skein hiding in your stash that is practically begging to become a pumpkin.

This month is about having choices and enjoying the process.

I’ll do the pattern hunting and gather some fun FREE patterns from crochet designers and creators around the web. You choose the project that works for your skill level, your yarn stash, and the amount of time you have available.

Of course, each pattern will link directly back to its original designer or creator so you can follow their instructions and show them some love for sharing their work with the crochet community. 💜

There is no pressure to make everything on the list. In fact, that’s not the goal!

The lists are there to give you choices without leaving you scrolling endlessly trying to figure out what to make.

And if you’re still learning? You absolutely belong here, too.

Look through the choices and pick something that feels manageable for where you are right now. A tiny pumpkin counts just as much as an elaborate Halloween creation. The goal is to pick something, give it a try, and enjoy making alongside everyone else.

Throughout the month, bring your project into the community and show us what you picked. Share your yarn choices, progress photos, questions, funny little mishaps, and, of course, those finished makes!

And remember, you don’t have to stick strictly to my choices. If our weekly theme inspires you but you already have a free pattern you’ve been wanting to try, feel free to make that instead. This is Pick One & Make It, after all!

By the end of September, we should have a community full of pumpkins, ghosts, cozy accessories, fall decorations, and plenty of handmade personality.

So grab your hook, raid those fall-colored yarns, and get ready to browse the first round of free patterns.
