It has been a little while since I’ve packed up the bins, loaded up the handmade friends, and headed out to spend an afternoon with you in person.
But we’re giving it another go!
Naturally MelissaMade will be popping up at The Market on Maple October 15th from 3 PM to 6 PM, and I am genuinely excited to get back out into the community.
This year I’ve had to be much more intentional about the events I add to my calendar. My body and our lovely Southern weather haven’t always agreed with the plans I would like to make, so I’ve strategically chosen a handful of events and spaced them out in hopes that both will cooperate.
The Market on Maple is part of that comeback. 💜
The Fundraiser Friends Are Coming, Too! 🎃
This will also be the second event appearance for our Paul Leeder Project Fundraiser Friends!
This fall, I created four special Halloween friends to help raise money for the Paul Leeder Project, a local nonprofit serving people in need right here in Screven County.
Meet the crew:
🧟 Zombie Paulie the Opossum
🧙♀️ Witch Paulie the Opossum
🧛 Vampire Freddie the Fish
🎃 Pumpkin Freddie the Fish
Each fundraiser friend is $35, and 60% of every Paulie and Freddie sale is donated directly to the Paul Leeder Project.
The organization works within our community to help feed and clothe those in need while also teaching life skills and encouraging people as they work toward thriving rather than simply surviving.
That local connection is incredibly important to me. These aren't just Halloween plushies sitting on my table. Every adoption helps us put something back into the community we call home.
So if you’ve been thinking about adopting a Paulie or Freddie, you’ll have another chance to meet them in person at The Market on Maple!
And Yes...There Will Be Plenty of Festive Friends! 🍂👻
The fundraiser crew won’t be coming alone.
I’ll be bringing along a variety of your favorite festive handmade friends and seasonal creations, too!
Expect plenty of fall and Halloween personality tucked into the Naturally MelissaMade display. Whether you’re looking for a spooky little friend, something cute for your fall decor, an early gift, or simply want to stop by and see what I’ve been making, there should be plenty to explore.
And you never quite know what is going to make its way into my bins before event day. 😂
Come See Me! 💜
One of the things I’ve missed most about in person events is getting to actually talk with you.
Social media is wonderful. Lives are fun. Our online community lets us stay connected from just about anywhere.
But there is something different about getting to see you walk up to my table, pick up a handmade friend, smile at something silly I’ve made, or tell me what you’ve been working on.
So this comeback isn't about filling my calendar with as many events as possible.
It's about choosing a few opportunities to get back out there, reconnect with my local community, and enjoy the experience while still respecting what my body needs.
Come find Naturally MelissaMade at The Market on Maple (117 Maple Street, Sylvania, GA) from 3 PM to 6 PM.
Meet the Paul Leeder Project crew, browse the festive friends, say hello, and maybe even find a handmade friend who insists on coming home with you.
I hope to see you there!
Handmade with purpose. Creating confidence, one stitch at a time.
