Fall Event Season Begins at the Sylvania Tractor Supply Annual Farmers Market!

The hooks have been busy, the seasonal makes are piling up, and it is finally time to pack everything up and head out into the community!

Naturally, MelissaMade is kicking off Fall Event Season at the Sylvania Tractor Supply Annual Farmers Market on September 12th from 10 AM to 2 PM.

This will be my first event of the season, and I cannot wait to see what comes home with you!

🧶 So Much Has Been Coming Off My Hook!

If you have been following along online, you already know my hooks have been BUSY.

Between custom orders, Comfort Companions, fall event prep, seasonal makes, sensory creations, and all of the random ideas that somehow find their way onto my hook, there has been a lot happening behind the scenes.

Now it is time to bring some of it out into the world!

I will be filling my booth with a mix of handmade creations, including:

🧸 Soft and squishy crochet friends

💜 Sensory friendly creations and fidgets

🍂 Fall and seasonal makes

🎃 A few spooky friends

🎁 Giftable handmade goodies

🧶 And whatever else manages to come off my hook before market day!

Because everything is handmade, quantities will be limited and you never quite know what might show up at an event.

That is part of the fun!

💜 A Very Special Sneak Peek

There will also be a couple of VERY special crochet friends joining me.

You may remember...

🦝 Paulie the Opossum

and

🐟 Freddie the Fish

Paulie and Freddie are returning this fall to help me support the Paul Leeder Project, and the Tractor Supply Farmers Market will be their first appearance of the season!

They are even getting some fun Halloween makeovers this year.

Paulie will be making appearances as a spooky Zombie Opossum and Witch Opossum, while Freddie is joining the Halloween fun as a Vampire Bass and Pumpkin Bass.

This market will be your first chance to get a peek at what I have been creating for the fundraiser before their big appearance at the Paul Leeder Project Fall Festival on October 31st.

🦝🐟 And Yes, You Can Adopt Them!

You do not have to wait until October 31st to bring Paulie or Freddie home.

Our fundraising efforts officially begin with this event!

Paulie and Freddie will be $35 each, and 60% of every Paulie and Freddie sale will be donated to the Paul Leeder Project.

My goal is to raise $500 between September 12th and October 31st, and every adoption gets us a little closer.

Last season, these two little crochet friends helped us raise around $200 toward holiday meals. I would love to see what we can accomplish together this year. 💜

🍂 Come Shop, Visit, or Just Say Hello

You certainly do not have to come with a shopping list.

One of the best parts of local events is getting to actually meet the people who follow Naturally, MelissaMade online.

Come browse the booth.

Squish the plushies.

Check out the sensory creations.

Ask me what is currently on my hook.

Tell me what YOU are making.

Ask about custom orders, Comfort Companions, crochet classes, or the Hook Nook Crochet Community.

Or just stop long enough to say, "Hey, Melissa!"

I would love to see you.

🧶 Handmade With Purpose

This market is also a great little snapshot of what Naturally, MelissaMade has grown into.

There are things made simply because they are cute and make us smile.

There are sensory creations made for busy hands.

There are Comfort Companions created with intention.

There are one of a kind ideas that popped into my head and somehow became crochet.

And now there are Paulie and Freddie, using a little yarn and creativity to help give back to our community.

Different creations. Different purposes. But every one started the same way.

With some yarn, a hook, and an idea.

We Had Fun at the Tractor Supply

It was a cooler morning but turned into a hot day. I only lasted till 12:45pm, but while I was there I truly enjoyed speaking to all those that stopped by.
